CANOE VENTURES, LLC REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) PRIVACY STATEMENT
Canoe Ventures believes we can make TV better for viewers and energize the TV business that creates the shows people love. The key is finding new ways for advertisers to reach and engage audiences. But it is also critical to protect viewers´ personal data.
Canoe Ventures helps to deliver advertising that saves viewers´ money and time. For example, using the remote control, a viewer selects from a menu on the screen to request information from advertisers. This eliminates the need to do things like clip coupons or keep track of written or mental notes. We call this Request for Information.
Here´s how it works:
During an ad on TV, viewers may see a new "prompt" on their screen. The prompt gives the choice to request more information or order a discount coupon or sample.

Canoe Ventures designed this product with privacy protections built in. If the viewer chooses the offer, the cable company sends the viewer´s address to the advertiser or its agent. The advertiser or agent is in charge of the viewer´s request. Canoe Ventures does not have access to the viewer´s address, personal data, or any sensitive or financial information.
