CANOE VENTURES NAMES NEIL SCHAFFER AS SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT - FINANCE

Experienced Executive Brings 25+ Years of Senior Leadership in Technology and Financial Services

Canoe Ventures has named Neil Schaffer as Senior Vice President - Finance. Reporting to David Verklin, Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Schaffer leads and manages finance, administration, accounting and reporting for the company.

Mr. Schaffer is a veteran entrepreneur and executive with more than 25 years experience in leading corporate finance, strategy and operations. Prior to joining Canoe, Mr. Schaffer served as CEO of Longview Consulting Group, an advisory firm he founded in 2005 that works with emerging and middle-market companies in the areas of marketing and financing strategy.

Previously, he held leadership roles for various companies including EVP and CFO of Audio Audit, a digital watermarking service provider to the media, broadcasting and advertising industries; EVP and CFO of Mediaport LLC, a technology consortium sponsored by the three largest global advertising holding companies, Omnicom, Interpublic, and WPP Group; EVP and CFO of iPrivacy LLC, a software development company focused on providing Internet privacy protection for the financial services sector; and VP and CFO of The Carson Group, a financial information and consulting company providing financial databases, stock surveillance and investor relations counsel to Fortune 500 corporations.

Mr. Schaffer began his career as a Certified Public Accountant with Price Waterhouse in New York, and he holds a Bachelors of Science in Accounting from the School of Management, Binghamton University.
